Bernard Raymond Nelson Naples, FL
Bernard Raymond Nelson, 85, of Naples, FL, died on Monday, January 3, 2010 at Heritage HealthCare in Naples.
He was born in Grand Ledge, MI on September 20, 1925, a son of Louis and Louise (Doll) Nelson. Following high school, Mr. Nelson joined the United States Navy and served during WW II.
In 1973, he and his family moved to Naples, FL and for many years was a selfemployed mason and a member of the American Legion. "He taught his five sons the best trade there is and they will be forever grateful."
Survived by his five sons, Richard, Larry, Rodney (Kathleen), David (Susan), and Steven Nelson; eight grandchildren; and his former wife, Lou Nelson. Also survived by his brother, Frank (Joan) Nelson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Underhill, and Pat Hagerty; and brother, Fred Nelson.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 5th (TOMORROW) at 4:00 p.m. at the Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Road, Naples.

I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Barneys passing. I have many fond memories of the many family get togethers we had, when Barney and the family still lived in Grand Ledge. Even though he is now gone from this life our memories will always live.
