Bipin Thakrar Obituary
Estero, FL
Bipin Thakrar of Estero, FL passed away on February 10, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He died after a long illness during which he was cared for with love and devotion by his wife Georgie who survives him.
He is also survived by his daughters Nisha and Usha, his son-in-law Prem Das, his grandchildren Kartik Das, Kavi Farr and Amala Das of Boston, his sister Diwali Ruparelia of London, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family around the world.
A practicing physician and general surgeon for over 40 years, Dr. Thakrar enjoyed golf, bridge and travelling with his wife Georgie. He spent the early part of his career
serving as the only surgeon in north and central Malawi in east Africa. He was an active member of the Rotary Club. He had a brilliant intellect, loved challenging games of cards, read The New York Times daily and followed politics with a passion.
A celebration of his life will be held on February 14, 2019 from 3 – 5 pm at the Clubhouse at Grandezza, 11481 Grande Oak Boulevard, Estero. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202 or The Michael J. Fox

Uncle will be dearly missed by all and we cherish the wonderful time we spent with him.
We will always remember the weekends we spent at Lake Malawi together as well as his numerous visits to London.
May he rest in peace.
