Edite Amorim Chiumento Naples, FL
Edite Amorim Chiumento, 47, loving wife and mother. A hip designer and restaurant owner, Edite also studied medicine and worked in home health care for the Cape Cod VNA.
Edite's favorite things were laughing and having football parties with family and friends. She was born a giver and fought and played with the same energy and enthusiasm.
Born in Portugal on April 26, 1963, daughter of Joao and Maria Amorim. She was raised in Angola, South Africa, and met her husband Jay in Switzerland where their lovely son Jason was born. Her family moved to Cape Cod, MA, then to Naples, FL. Having lived on three continents, Edite brought seven languages to the festival of life. Her beautiful soul lives on in those she loved and touched.
Survived by her beloved husband Jay; loving son Jason; sisters, Maria, Eulalia and Elizabeth; father and mother in-law, Joseph and Lana Chiumento.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held Thursday (TOMORROW) September 30th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. with an informal service beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Road, Naples.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Edite may be made to Jason Chiumento Education Fund, 15834 Delaplata Lane, Naples, FL, 34110.

September 30, 2010
Dear Jay,
We met at the Transplant House on September 4th. I was one of the Knots of Hope moms, Jo-Ann. I called the Transplant House last week to speak to you and I was given the news of Edite's passing. I was taken back with great sadness and have been thinking of you, Jason and Maria everyday since. The rest of the group (girls and moms that met you and your sister-in-law that day and even those who didnt but heard of your story) have you in their hearts and prayers. Please contact me when you are up to it. We would love to visit you and Jason in Naples.
In Memory of Edite we will be lighting a candle for her this Saturday at Knots of Hope's 1st Annual Fundraising Gala Event.
Our deepest sympathy for your loss, we know how much she meant to all of you!
