How fondly I remember Captain Cassidy... He was as inspirational, wise, kind and fun-loving a person and captain as one could ever hope for. He and Betty were a joy to be with aboard Sea Cloud when we sailed together for several summers in the early 1980s. My deepest condolences and warmest greetings to the family. (Hello Megan!) I'm truly sadden to hear that your dad has made his final crossing--so many of us love him dearly. I remember he often quoted the Irish Blessing so now it's time for God to hold Captain Cassidy in the palm of his hand -- and we'll hold him in our hearts -- until we meet again. Thank you for sharing the photos of his life... Betty so beautiful and Ed so handsome. To see them surrounded by beautiful grandchildren was a true delight. I wish you all peace and acceptance in this difficult time.

To the entire Cassidy Family,
Our prayers are with each one of you for strength to get thru this most difficult time. Support one another and allow patience to come in the back door and stay with each of you for awhile.
Everyone's life is a fairy-tale written by God's fingers. Ed was a good man and is now in the presence of God. Who could ask for anything better. We will miss you.
