Ivy Louise Gallup

Naples, FL

Ivy Louise passed with peace and grace on August 21, with her family at her side. She was 81.

Predeceased by her loving husband, Donald in 2000; and parents, Gladys M. and William L. Mullens.

Survived by sons, Don Jr. (Linda) of Colorado, Robert (Linay) Ferguson of North Carolina; daughters, Carrie "Bali" Smith of Alabama, and Kathleen Wark of Tennessee; brother, William K. Mullens; sisters, Doris "Tookie" Moore, Donna "Pidgie" Fogg, and Gladys "Sissie" Happoldt; grandchildren, Aileen Bennett, Alex Wark, Kyle and Kurt Gallup, Kaleb and Shelby Smith and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving sister, Phyllis "Jeanie" Stamm; and brother, John "Stanley" Mullens.

Louise was born in Salem, WV in 1934. She attended High school at Dodridge County High School and moved to Washington, DC as a young woman to begin her career with the US State Department. During her tenure with the US State Department she lived and traveled for many years throughout Asia. She settled in Sunapee, NH and was owner and operator of The Harborside Grill. After marrying Donnie she threw her energies into running their family lodge Stone End in Sunapee, NH as well as managing the Lake Sunapee Yacht Club for several summer seasons.

She and Donnie retired to Naples, FL in 1979.

She will be always remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who always gave such wonderful advice.

A graveside service will be held at Eastman Cemetery, North Road, Sunapee, NH on October 24, 2015 at 1:00 pm. followed by a celebration of her life at One Mile West, 6 Brook Rd, Sunapee, NH from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations are sent to Avow Hospice 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105.
