John Mason Obituary
John "Jack" Harrison Mason, Jr. of Naples, Florida died March 4, 2021 at age 85. Jack was born October 9, 1935 in Boston, Massachusetts. He enjoyed boating, camping, and barbeque. He was also a huge ham radio enthusiast. He lived in his home at Henderson Creek Park for over 50 years. Jack worked for United Telephone (which later became Sprint) starting in December 1968 until his retirement in February 1998. He held several different positions over the span of his career ending as a Central Office Technician at the Moorings. After he retired, he spent the next 10 years or so traveling the country from May to September in his travel trailer. After that, he spent time boating and just generally enjoying life. He was an incredibly handy, extremely generous, good natured, practical, no-nonsense friend and father. After Hurricane Irma, Jack realized that he needed to make a change and, for the past three years, he lived with his daughter and her family in Dunedin, Florida. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his daughter, Kathryn Vetter, son-in-law Michael Vetter, grandchildren Brittany (Michael) Lee, Victoria Vetter, and Jeffrey Vetter, and great grandchildren, Jackson Lee and Gemma Lee. There will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, Jack would be honored by donations to the Seaside Seabird Sanctuary at https://seasideseabirdsanctuary.org/donate.

To The Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I knew him as Mr Mason. I was his dermatologist in Naples. So many office visits, so many long talks about family, travel and life. He was such a good man. We all missed him when he moved and will miss him more.
