Walter A. (Butch) Sickels Black Mountain, NC
Walter A. (Butch) Sickels, 71, of Of Black Mountain, NC (Formerly of Naples, FL and Hampton, VA) passed away October 2, 2008 from lung cancer. He was involved in his building business, FCI Homes for 20 years in Naples FL. Walt was a great guy, everyone loved him. He loved golfing with his buddies in Naples, Hampton and Black Mountain. In Naples, he loved Friday nights down at the Beach Club and going to the World Famous Swamp Buggy Lounge. In the mountains, he learned to appreciate Blue Grass Music. He really loved cooking up a meal for friends and family. He especially enjoyed going home to Hampton VA and visiting life long friends there. He was a loving Husband, a great Dad and a wonderful Pop-Pop.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jannette Evans Sickels; his son, Steven Sickels and his wife Sharon of Naples, FL; his Daughter, Michelle Hamilton and her husband Glenn; his granddaughter, Chloe Hamilton of Black Mountain, NC; his sister, Bea Sweeney; his Brother, Herman Montgomery. Along with several nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his Father, Walter Sickels Sr.; his Mother, Myrtle Bea Sickels; and his Brothers, James Montgomery and Robert Montgomery.
A celebration service will be held at Brigman's Funeral Home at 501 West State Street in Black Mountain, on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. followed by graveside service at Mountain View Memorial Park, Tabernacle Road, Black Mountain, NC.

Aunt Jannette,
I am sorry your hubby Butch. I miss him so much. I was shocking and i found newpaper . I miss my grandpa Robert Montgomery. I love you
