Brittney Soule Obituary

Brittney Lee Soule, 42, of Callahan, Florida, passed away on Oct. 28, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born July 6, 1983, Brittney was born in Jacksonville, Florida, raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and was the oldest of two children. From a young age, she showed an independent and determined spirit, beginning work at the age of 13 at her grandparents' business. Her dedication and strong work ethic carried her through a successful career in the banking industry before she chose to follow her heart in becoming a registered nurse – a profession that reflected her compassion and desire to care for others.
Above all, Brittney's greatest joy was being a mom. She poured her heart into raising her children, Elijah and Zelda, and found happiness in every moment spent with them. She was deeply involved in their activities – cheering proudly at the football and baseball fields for Elijah and Zelda. Brittney's home was filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of family.
Brittney had a zest for life and a love for celebration, with Halloween being her favorite holiday. She cherished spending time with her husband Josh, their children, and her extended family and friends. Her kindness, determination, and vibrant spirit touched everyone who knew her.
She was a proud member of many heritage and historical societies, including the Daughters of the War of 1812, the American Rosie the Riveter Association, the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the National Society Women Descendants of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company, the Daughters of Union Veterans, and the Associated Daughters of Early American Witches. Through these organizations, Brittney celebrated and preserved her family's history and inspired others to take pride in their roots.
Brittney was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Eloise Hall, Jack and Catherine Patrick, and James Donald Gilbert. She is survived by her loving husband, Josh Soule; her son, Elijah James Soule; her daughter, Zelda Aurora Soule; her mother, Donna Rau (Mike Linton) her father, Tim Rau (Laura Rodriguez-Rau) and her brother, Zac Rau; her mother-in-law, Melodie Soule; her father-in-law, Darrell Soule; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. She will also be missed by her two beloved dogs, Penny and Loki.
After many wonderful years in Atlanta, Brittney and her family moved to Callahan three years ago to be closer to loved ones – a decision that brought her great happiness and peace. Brittney's light will forever shine through her children, her family, and the countless lives she touched with her warmth, strength, and love.
Services to celebrate Brittney's life were held at Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home Callahan Chapel at 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 2025, with the Rev. Barry Hamilton officiating. Burial followed in Jones Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers were Zac Rau, Mike Linton, Lewis Jimenez, Jason Sweat, and Chris Rau. Condolences may be expressed by signing the guest registry at www.srfhcallahan.com. Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home – Callahan Chapel is honored to serve the Soule family.
