Mary Huidekoper

Mary Alice Beckman Huidekoper, known as Mimi, passed away Monday, May 19, at her home in Nonquitt, Mass, with the comfort of her loving family She was the wife of Peter G Huidekoper, with whom she shared 66 years of marriage

Born in New Bedford on Aug 2, 1925, she was the devoted daughter of the late Carl and Lucy L (Sisson) Beckman She lived in New Canaan for more than 40 years before moving back to Dartmouth 20 years ago

Mrs Huidekoper graduated from Friends Academy, Abbot Academy and Vassar College Throughout her life, she volunteered in organizations that helped those in need

In addition to her husband, survivors include her children, Lucy Edson and her husband, Burnham of Fort Smith, Ark, Peter of Parker of Colorado; Elizabeth (Beppie) of Providence, RI, Henry and his wife, Collette of Ridgefield, and Annie and her partner, Joanne Swanson of St Paul Minn; five grandchildren, Emily Bojovic, Katherine and Will Edson, and Henry and Christie Huidekoper; four great-grandchildren; her brother, Charles Beckman; three sisters-in-law, many cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and friends

To each and every one, she gave love, support and joy She will be deeply missed by all

A memorial service will be held at St Aidan's Chapel in Dartmouth, Mass, in July

The family is grateful for the tender care of her caregivers and health professionals
