Nancy Brown

Nancy  S Brown, 81, a lifelong New Canaan resident, died Tuesday, Feb 19, at Waveny Care Center

Born in New Canaan on March 4, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Pierina Stenta Spadaccini Mrs Brown was the wife of the late Wendell P Brown Jr who died in 1960

After her mother's death in 1934, she was raised by the family of Daniel and Maria Assunta Conetta Mrs Brown attended New Canaan schools and graduated from New Canaan High School in 1949 She was employed with various banks in New Canaan, the last being the Bank of New Canaan

She is survived by her son, Wendell P Brown III of New Canaan; sisters, Angela Conetta Christiano and Loretta Conetta Serafino, both of Stamford; sisters-in-law, Lily Conneta of Stamford ,Eleanor Spadaccini of Rhode Island, and Sandra Brown Fasano of Pennsylvania; friends and caregivers during her illness, Jackie Mola, and many loving nieces and nephews

In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph Spadaccini and Mario and Anthony Conetta; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Brown

Calling hours are Saturday, Feb 23, from 9-10:30 at Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Feb 23, at  11, at St Aloysius Church, Cherry Street, where she was a lifetime member
