Patricia Jacobsen Simone, 74, of Naples, FL, passed away in her home this Feb 4, 2015

Patricia was born on May 14, 1940 to her parents Regina and John H Jacobsen She grew up in Highland Park, Ill, went to The Convent of the Sacred Heart in Lake Forest, Ill, and received her undergraduate degree at Manhattanville College in Purchase, NY There, she met her husband John J Simone, of 50 years She later received her Master's degree from Columbia University and went on to raise four children

Patricia was actively involved in service to her community throughout her life She dedicated her time and energy in many different ways - from leading youth groups in her church to volunteering in her local Junior League

Patricia was a loved member of each community in which she lived, including Stamford, Conn, New Canaan, Ipswich, Mass, and Naples, Fla

A long-time member of Woodway Country Club in Darien and Wyndemere Country Club in Naples, she enjoyed playing tennis, golf, reading, traveling, baseball, and being with her friends and family

Patricia is predeceased by her mother and father She is survived by her loving husband, John J Simone of Naples, sons John, Thomas, and Daniel Simone, daughter Mary Ryan Carpenter, and her nine adoring grandchildren She will be dearly missed

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held to honor Patricia on Tuesday, Feb 10 at 10:30 am, at St Thomas More Church, 374 Middlesex Road, Darien Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, with a small reception at Woodway Country Club immediately afterwards A memorial gathering will be held at a later date in Naples

Services have been entrusted to Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St, New Canaan
