Robert Moylan

Robert J Moylan, age 82, a resident of New Canaan, CT for over 20 years, formerly of Greenwich, CT and Pleasantville, NY died Tuesday evening November 27, 2012 at his home with his loving wife Barbara Bruggeman Moylan by his side Born in Brooklyn, NY January 28, 1930 he was the son of the late Cornelius and Anna Miniter Moylan

After graduation from Chaminade High School in Mineola, NY, Robert graduated from Holy Cross College in Worcester, served in the US Navy and then graduated from New York Law School in 1957 Robert worked for Dewey Ballantine and American Can Company as director of real estate

In New Canaan, He was a past president of the Senior Mens Club, former member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, and was a Salant Round Table discussion leader He was a member of Woodway Gun Club, Campfire Club of America and Atlantic lndians

ln addition to his wife Barbara, Robert is survived by sons, Christopher Moylan of Sunnyvale, CA, Robert J Moylan of Sydney,Australia, David Moylan of Pompano Beach, Fl, and Bradley Silcox of Vietnam  Daughters, Margaret Marsden of Hickory, NC and Amy Silcox of Perrysburg, OH, and Nine grandchildren, and a sister Ann O'Brien of Yonkers, NY Robert was predeceased by his brother John Moylan

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Dec 6, 2012 at 11 am at St Aloysius Church, Cherry Street, New Canaan Interment will be private Friends may call at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, New Canaan on Wednesday December 5th from 3 to 7 PM  ln lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Waveny Care Center, 3 Farm Road, New Canaan, CT  06840 or Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Fairfield County, PO Box 489 Wilton, CT 06897 or the New Canaan Ambulance Corp, 180 South Ave, New Canaan, CT 06840
