Joyce E. Hartman, 78, of Nebraska City (formerly Lincoln), passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Morton Memory Care in Nebraska City.
Joyce Elaine (Andersen) Hartman was born on August 11, 1947 in Beatrice, NE, the daughter of Richard and Margaret (Meyer) Andersen. She attended Ellis Elementary School and later Beatrice High School, graduating with the class of 1964.
Joyce worked for State Farm Insurance in Lincoln for many years. After retiring from State Farm, she worked for a time for Lincoln Public Schools as a para-educator. She enjoyed crocheting homemade crafts and playing pitch in local pitch leagues.
She was united in marriage to Jack Jansen, he preceded her in death.
She was later united in marriage to Lawrence "Larry" Hartman on July 17, 1996 in Lincoln, NE. The two shared over 25 years together. Larry preceded her in death on November 7, 2021.
Joyce is survived by her step-son, Craig Hartman (Stacey) of Nebraska City; Brendan and Bryce; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Jansen and Larry Hartman; siblings, James Andersen, Ronald (Tamara) Andersen, and Duane (Marie) Andersen.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on March 9, 2026 at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City. Burial will follow in Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City. The family will greet friends from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the service at the mortuary.
Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
