1948 - 2022

Faye Lutsey Brennan, 73 of Greeneville, Tenn., passed away peacefully at her home Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, after a brave battle with cancer.

Born Sept. 14, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Sarah Lutsey.

Faye grew up in Mountain Top. She married her high school sweetheart Gary Brennan Sr. in 1969 and they resided in Tunkhannock, where they raised their two sons, Gary and Nate. Faye worked for more than 20 years as a physical therapy restorative aide.

Faye and Gary then moved to Greeneville, Tenn., to be closer to their sons' families. There Faye was a member of the Greeneville Iris Society and a member of the GreeneLawn Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents Faye was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Lutsey.

Faye is survived by her beloved sister and best friend, Janice Folkman; husband, Gary Brennan Sr.; children: Gary Jr. and wife Jada, Nate and wife Lanell; grandchildren: Auden, Tatum, and Gabe; and many beloved sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Faye's husband, children, and grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. The legacy of Faye's kind spirt, love of music and gardening, and zest for life and adventure will live on through them. Faye had a love of animals, nature, flowers, and fishing. She had a heart of gold and her kindness and love towards her family and friends will never be forgotten. She will be missed dearly.

A celebration of life will be planned for springtime. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to your local Humane Society in honoring Faye's compassionate love of animals.

Memories of Nags Head, tennis. And others. Love and peace. Her joyful presence permeated life around her. Faye had a beauty like the sparkle of the ocean you guys loved so much. Yet, her acceptance was always derived from sheer patience and fortitude. And welcoming spirit. Thank you sincerely for brightening my life.
