Shirley Mae Savage, 86, of Factoryville, died at home on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022.
Born in Eatonville on Aug. 14, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Pauline Kingston Goble.
Shirley graduated from Tunkhannock High School, worked at Grove Textiles. She started raising her family and became a stay-at-home mom. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren at their events.
Shirley is preceded in death by her nine brothers and sisters.
Surviving beside her husband William are three children: Gloria Pianovich (Mark) of Belleview, Fla., Roger Savage of Factoryville, and William M. Savage (Patty) of Factoryville; a brother, Charles Goble of Tunkhannock; six grandchildren: Michael Shihinski (Cristy), John Shihinski, Christine Shihinski, Mary Frost, Cameron Savage and Braden Savage; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service was held Monday, Jan. 10, at Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes Inc., 33 Reynolds St., Factoryville, Pastor Paul Fields officiated. Interment was in Evergreen-Woodlawn Cemetery, Factoryville.
