Althea Walker Obituary
HEATH: A funeral service celebrating the life of Althea Bernice (Taylor) Walker, age 81, of Heath, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, at The Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Walker passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born May 21, 1935 in Fairborn, Ohio to the late Jefferson and Minnie (Hines) Taylor.
Mrs. Walker retired from the State of Ohio Liquor Dept. working at the Southgate Store for 17 years. She also worked at Riley' Bakery. She was a member of the Southgate Church of Christ, Welcome Wagon for the City of Heath, Heart of Ohio Quilt Guild, Mothers Club and the State Highway Patrol Wives Card Club Group.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Joseph William Walker, whom she married, April 16, 1955; five children, Tamarra (Ernest) Lewis of N.C., Joseph Tyler (Kimberly Ann) Walker of Heath, Tara Minzell Walker of Heath, Russ (Brenda Lee) Walker of Ashville and Taylor (Adria) Walker of Pataskala; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Delila Luella Aleshire of FL and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings.
Family and friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, April 21, at The Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van-Atta-Stickle Funeral and Cremation Service, 1249 Hebron Road, Heath.
Memorial contributions may be made to Southgate Church of Christ.

I am so glad I was able to meet your mother and only wish i had met her sooner Minzell. She is just the sweetest little blanket folder....
