NEWARK: A celebration of life service for Corey Elijah Hart, 30, will be held at the Criss Schoedinger Funeral Home, 179 Granville St., Newark, Ohio on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Charles Nobel officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Corey's life was tragically ended while aiding a friend in need. Corey was born on November 30, 1979 in Newark, Ohio to Alice and Eugene Hart. At an early age he and his family moved to Columbus, Ohio. Later he moved to Prichard, Alabama and graduated from Cedar Grove Academy class of '97. After graduation, he moved back to Ohio and pursued his career in residential construction. As said by his family he had a great sense of humor and a big heart. Corey was a dedicated father, son, and friend. He was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need, even if it got him in trouble.
Corey leaves to mourn his passing, his children; Elijah, Amareon, Zikyea, Jalyn, Zarayah, Corrie; parents, Alice and Eugene Hart; siblings, Eugene (Kelly), Javus, Trevor (Shanna); grandmother, Willie Mae Hart of Alabama; uncle, Donald (Marsha) Hart, James Tunstill; aunt, Betty Woods of Alabama. He is also survived by the mothers of his children, Ashley Adkins and Mary Lisa Lane; and special friend, Robert Brown as well as a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Corey is preceded in death by his grandparents, Elijah Gaston Tunstill, Grace Bebe Tunstill, and Harry Hart; and uncle, Anthony Hart.
