Gertrude Wright Obituary
Heath - Gertrude "Trudy" Wright, age 75, of Heath, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Selma Markowitz Care Center (operated by Hospice of Central Ohio). Trudy was born January 22, 1943 in Long Branch, New Jersey and grew up in Highlands, New Jersey.
Trudy received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trenton State College in New Jersey and received a Master of Education degree from Ashland University. A beloved teacher at Northridge High School, Trudy taught English there for over 20 years. Following her retirement, Trudy enjoyed volunteering with numerous charities including the Trinity Episcopal Church, The Turban Project and The Davis Shai House. She loved spending time with her family, reading, crafts, volunteering and traveling.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Eugene R. "Gene" Wright; daughter, Lori (Jon) Radabaugh and Lisa (Joe) Hipple; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a huge, extended, loving family.
Trudy was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Hazel (White) Feil; and her brother, Charles Feil.
Friends may call from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 2 p.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home, 179 Granville Street in Newark. Private inurnment will take place in Homer Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the following organizations to which Trudy was so devoted: The Turban Project (www.theturbanproject.com), Trinity Episcopal Church, 76 East Main Street, Newark, OH 43055 or the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research, P.O. Box 183112, Columbus, OH 43218-3112.

Lisa, Lori,& Family;
I am so very sorry for your loss. Trudy was one of a kind. She always had her door open to listen, to talk, to encourage, and to direct. She helped me through some of the toughest times in my life and she always gave me a heartwarming hug after we talked. She always treated me like a daughter and I will forever love her as a mother and dear friend. She was never just a teacher, she was always a special gift from God. May you heal and always laugh, because her smile is what will always keep this world a better place.

My memories of Trudy was her always positive attitude and her smile and laughter. Even though I wasn't around her that much, I grew up with Gene "Butch" and he married one of the finest gals I've ever known. She will be missed by many.

Trudy is in this Channel 10 TV video. She mentioned God in what she said and that made me so happy.

Mrs. Wright was my English teacher at Northridge High School from 1989-1992. I didn't care for the subject very much but remember the passion Mrs. Wright had for teaching. She was one of my favorite teachers, and I wish I would have appreciated her more at that time.Thoughts are prayers to her husband and other family members. May God give you peace and rest in the days ahead.
