My wife and I were sitting at the Pizza Cottage one night and Gretchen was in the next booth alone. We struck up a conversation with her and talked during dinner. She got up to leave and wished us a good evening and when we finished we got asked for our bill and Gretchen paid it....I will never forget that act of kindness. I know her son and he has a true heart just like his mother and father. My sincere condolences.

Mrs. O'Neill was my 5th grade teacher at St. Francis. She was a true educator who loved her students. She was one of the best teachers I ever had. She was loved by us all. My condolences to her whole family. She will be missed.

My sincere condolences to the O'Neill family. I was a student of Mrs. O'Neill at St. Francis De Sales back in the 70's. She was one of my favorite teachers. She had a passion for teaching that shined brightly and made you want to be the best student you could be. She had a great sense of humor and it was a pleasure to be in her class. I feel honored and blessed to have known her! She will be missed by many. Please know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

We enjoyed Mrs O'Neill as a principal at Blessed Sacrament and St Francis. Our boys attended Blessed Sacrament and we collaborated on some joint school activities and with the Jr High Athletic Association. She was a joy to work with and she was firm but fair. Thank you for all that you did for both schools and our community!!!
