Marian Catherine Workman

NEWARK: Marian Catherine Workman, 84, of Newark, Ohio and formerly of Ashland, died Thursday evening, April 8, 2011 at Sharon Brooke Inn in Newark, Ohio. She was born March 6, 1927 in Cincinnati, Ohio and was the daughter of Benjamin and Catherine (Saffelder) Wolfe.

Marian graduated from Mt. Healthy High School in 1945. Mrs. Workman had been a resident of Ashland since 1977 before moving to Newark, Ohio in 2002. She was a homemaker.

While living in Ashland, Mrs. Workman was a member of the Christ Community Evangelical Free Church. She is now a member of the Newark Nazarene Church in Newark, Ohio.

She was first married to Houston R. Forman on December 23, 1946. She then married William E. Workman on April 2, 1977 who preceded her in death on March 19, 2003.

She is survived by five children, Meredith Byers of Worthington, OH, Mark (Patty) Forman of Newark, OH, Emily (Peter) Lunter of The Colony's, TX, Kimberly (Clark) Miller of Tipp City, OH, Tamara Kleinman of Dublin, OH; 11 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren; two step sons, Timothy (Linda) Workman of Ashland, OH, Daniel (Linda) Workman of Burton, OH; four step granddaughters; and seven step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William E. Workman and one brother, Robert Wolfe.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the Denbow-Primm-Kemery Funeral Home with the Rev. Clark Miller officiating. Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Dickey Cemetery.
