Etta Sturman Obituary

NEWARK: A Graveside service for Etta Irene Sturman will be held at noon on Tuesday July 13, 2010 at the Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Sturman was born on July 10, 1913 in Bladensburg, Ohio to the late Lee Freeman and Ida Belle (Melick) Martin. She died Friday July 9, 2010 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was 96.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Harry L. Sturman; her stillborn daughter, Nancy; and her 15 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Louanna Huffman of Newark; sons, Tom (Toni) Sturman of Pataskala, and Roger (Sandy) Sturman of Newark; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and two nieces.
Etta was a beloved mother, wife and homemaker, loved sewing crafts, bingo and cards. She and her husband Harry were charter members of the OES in Newark.
Friends may call Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home, where a procession will follow to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Etta's memory may be made to Hospice of Riverside, 3555 Olentangey River Road, Cols OH 43214.
