Samantha Mitchell Obituary
Worthington - Samantha Danielle (Baker) Mitchell passed away on May 18th, 2021. Born September 22, 1987 in Newark, Ohio. Samantha was fond of art, games, music, and time spent with friends and family.
She joined the Pride of Newark Marching Band every year at State Finals, sang alto in the choirs, and designed various programs and show posters for events at Newark High School both before and after her graduation with honors in 2006.
After high school, she was also a four-year member of the Licking County 4-H Band and earned her Associates in Applied Business from Central Ohio Technical College.
She traveled across the land, searching far and wide, but she did not look far to find her husband, Walter Mitchell, 34, also of Newark, Ohio. High school sweethearts, they married on February 14, 2017, and settled in Lewis Center, where they worked together at Insight Enterprises.
From Sailor Moon to the world of Pokémon, she loved exploring worlds and collecting keepsakes. Her Munchkin skill was the envy of cons. In short, she was the very best, like no one ever was.
Preceded in death by her mother, Connie Sue Haught, who passed away in 2018 at the age of 58. Samantha is survived by her husband, Walter Mitchell, 34; her brother, Eric Jordan Baker, 27; her brother, Brian Jeffery Haught, 42; her uncle, Jeffery Lee Frost, 52; her uncle, John David Haught, 58; and her grandmother, Janice Sue Frost, 80.
A celebration of life service for Samantha will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 592 West Main Street in Newark.

Remembering back when Samantha was younger, she babysat my kids. Not for too long before I realized they were too good of friends and she was letting them get away with everything. They were as thick as thieves. She was a good girl and will definitely be missed by many. We pray that your heart and soul will find peace and comfort during this difficult time.
