Thomas Canter Obituary
Alexandria - Thomas Stanton Canter, 69, of Alexandria, passed away peacefully January 13, 2019. He was born February 27, 1949, in New Albany, IN, to the late Ottie Woodrow Canter and Willie Adams (Houser) Canter.
Thomas was a Marine Corps Veteran who proudly served in the Vietnam War. Tom was known for his kind heart and willingness to help others. He was a lover of all things in nature, construction, family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Ann Marie (Martin) Canter; children, Jill (Jayson) Dunathan of Alexandria, Emily (Chad) Murphy of Brimfield, and Samuel (Alexia) Canter of Alexandria; siblings, Houser Canter, Luci Pope, John (Suzanne) Canter, Janey (Bill) Leohr, and late brother, Lee Roark; ten grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Thomas Canter, to The Alzheimer's Association Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43215, or to the Licking County Veterans, 935 Buckeye Ave. Newark, Ohio 43055.

I was on the high school swimming team with Tom where he was always positive, competitive and often funny. His love and service to our country and his obvious love and devotion to his wife, children and grandchildren are to be emulated. God bless all of you.
