He was educated through the Craven County School System and was employed in the construction industry.
His funeral will be conducted noon Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011, at Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, 1696 Tuscarora-Rhems Road with the Rev. Katie Chapman, pastor and the Rev. Ray Sanders, eulogist. Burial will follow at the Bryant Family Cemetery.
He is survived by his father, Rudolph Bryant Sr. of New Bern and his mother, Julia Scott Bryant of Ayden; one son, Isaiah Bryant of Cove City; and one daughter, Eldiali Joyner of Greenville; one brother, Rudolph "JJ" Bryant Jr. of Ayden; and one sister, Tiffany Bryant of Vanceboro.
The family will receive friends at the residence of Ernestine Williams, 330 Hilliard Road.
Viewing will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Oscar's Mortuary.
