Miss Lorna, I'm so sorry I didn't get the chance to spend more time with you and the Colonel recently. David was a true hero, in the real sense of the word, and a Gentleman. So very sorry for your loss.

Dear Mrs. Andre,
You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers in the coming days. Mr. Andre will always live in our thoughts and our spirit as a true American hero. I cherish the days that he and I talked of his experiences in the South Pacific and of his days in the Army Air Corps.
May the Lord bless you and keep you! May you feel his presence in the coming days. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a real hero!
God bless
