Gladys Davis Obituary
She was a member of Saint's Delight Free Will Baptist Church and a former member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Davis Jr. and her son, Lynwood Earl Davis.
She is survived by five daughters, Gloria Smith of Conway, NH; Lori Ann Hale and husband Chris, Marion D. Avery and husband John, all of New Bern; Alice Marsh and husband Mike of Lexington, SC; and Becky Elias and husband John of Columbia, SC; one brother, Ronald Ames of Moultboro, NH; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at Cotten Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of her daughter, Lori, 307 Neuse Cliff Rd. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff at Britthaven 400 Hall, and CarolinaEast, Southeast, 4th floor.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the America Diabetic Association, P.O. Box 1454, Alexandria, VA 22312.

Sending our thoughts and prayers to your family from NH. I had only met your Mom, my cousin Sis, on a couple of occasions many years ago in Tamworth, at your Grandmother's house, my Aunt Ada. I hope you find peace in the fact that she longer is suffering. Take care.
