We mourn the passing of our friend Josh. We are so glad we got to know him over the summer. I can still visualize him standing at the front door, tools in hand, saying “I got to do right by you. You’re Mama’s friend and you helped save Tinkerbell”. Always with a smile, always polite, always considerate. And though his earthly life is no more we know his life continues for eternity. He is only gone from our earthly sight. Surely as he left this world others were hailing his return home-“Look here he comes! He’s coming home!” (www.appleseeds.org/sailhome.htm). Our task is to live our lives so that in our great getting up morning we too will be reunited with family and friends gone before us…and Josh, and to hear them say “Welcome home!”.

There are no words, but our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Bryant, Tammy, I can see as clear as yesterday Joshua and Jessica in their tiny sailor suits that my mama made (Ilavene Brown) and the photos that were taken and we still have. I can't imagine your pain, but hopefully loving memories such as these might soften the blow even slightly.

I met Josh my first day at WTC in Wilmington, NC. He was very down-to-earth and intelligently funny. We "clicked" immediatly. When we both graduated from the program he stayed in Wilmington, as did I, and we hung out for the week before his passing. He was a dear friend whom I felt like I had known my whole life. He had a great positive impact on me, and wish I could have done more to impact his. The tragic news was sincerely upsetting; I just wish I had known him for longer. My thoughts, sympathies, and prayers go to his family during this holiday season. If you would like to contact me, my cell is (910) 465-6326, which I wont have until late Sunday, Dec 27, 2009. Although we new eachother for a short time, it was a time I will never forget.
Sincerely,

I didn't know Josh well at all, but what I remember of him was nothing short of beautiful. Josh and I only had a few classes together throughout the years, but what I remember of him was this: he was always smiling, always laughing, and always charming. No one could categorize Josh, he was friends with everyone and was amazingly sweet. He will be missed and remembered.

Big Josh was a huge part of my life in highschool and several of the years that followed. As time passed and life carried on, our friendship wained and we went our seperate ways, but I will never forget the enormous laughs, the mischief we got into, and the strong bond we shared for those few years. He was such a dear person and this news is tragic. I will always remember him fondly.
My heart breaks for your family and my sincerest prayers are with you today and always. My the love you share with one another, the support from dear friends, and the memories of this beautiful young man get you through this great pain. May you wake each day with a little more strength than you had the day before.
My love and sincerest condolences to your whole family.
Love,
Noelle

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of grief. I hope that your pain eases and your spirit grows as you picture Josh in heaven.
I have so many wonderful memories of Josh from growing up together but one of my favorites is playing car bingo on the way to and from school. Josh could always make me laugh.
I have been thinking of him a lot the past few days and I know his smile is one of the things I won't forget.

I considered myself to be a good friend of Josh's many years ago, but I moved away and have not seen him in a number of years. It saddens my heart to think of him as gone. His smile was infectious and so was his laughter. I wish I could be there to celebrate his life. My prayers are with the family.
