Lucy Cottle Obituary
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 AM at Calvary Baptist Church, 1821 Rhem Avenue, New Bern. Burial will follow in the Gilbert Family Cemetery at 1719 Clarks Rd., New Bern.
Mrs. Cottle was a lifelong resident of Craven County. She worked at the Food Land, Pak A Sak and Piggly Wiggly as the scanning coordinator until her retirement in late summer 2014. She was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, devoted wife, a hard worker, and loved the Lord.
Mrs. Cottle was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Cottle, Jr., and oldest brother.
She is survived by one son, one daughter, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters.
The family will receive friends Wednesday at the church from 10 until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, PO Box 1089, New Bern 28563.
