A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Family Life Center at New Bern Church of God.
Mrs. Tripp, daughter of the late John W. and Mary Dunn Sandlin, was a native of Green County. Mrs. Tripp has resided in Craven County for the past 52 years ad took pleasure in her life as a homemaker and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Price, and a brother, Lynwood Sandlin, both of New Bern.
Mrs. Tripp is survived by her husband, James Macon Tripp; a daughter, Gail Tripp Rivenbark; a son, James Merrill Tripp; four grandchildren, Samantha Rivenbark, Breanna Tripp, Brandon Tripp and Molly Rivenbark; sisters, Pat Gatlin and Norma Mezger; as well as beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the Family Life Center.
