Born in Philadelphia, Pa., he served his country in the U.S. Army and worked 20 years at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, and 13 years at Cherry Point MCAS. He is preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Schroyer.
He is survived by his wife, Donna M. Schroyer of Havelock, formerly of Philadelphia, Pa.; his mother, Helena M. Schroyer of Delaware; one son, Jason Schroyer and wife, Sophie, of The Black Hills, S.D.; his daughter, Kristen Jones and husband, Christopher, of Greenville; two brothers, Jack Schroyer of Corinth, Texas; Matthew Schroyer of Berlin, N.J.; one sister, Helena Schroyer of Mid-dletown, Del.; and five grandchildren, Maria, Ethan Jules and Joel Henry Mark Schroyer, Jeremy Memphis Jones and Allie Hargett.
A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Annunciation Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday night, at Annunciation Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Generation Life, 590 Snyder Ave., West Chester, PA 19382 or visit generationlife.org, or to the American Cancer Society, 930 B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.

Mark, and Donna have done alot with us, and for us. I have missed them for a long time...I will never see Mark in this life nor, maybe the next. I wish we still had him. I think about him every day, and miss him terribly. Because that "soon" time in the future that I was going to go to his house and talk to him!...is gone forever(sigh). I Love the Schroyers for coming into our lives. I miss "Marko".
