Wendy Strickland Obituary

Wendy Lockley Strickland, 80, of New Bern, was promoted to Glory on Sunday, September 9th, 2018. She was a lifetime member of Temple Baptist Church, where she enjoyed serving the Lord.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 15th, 2018 at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel (weather permitting).
Wendy was preceded in death by her husbands, Garland Revels and Bobby Strickland; sons, Timothy Revels and Bobby Strickland, Jr.; as well as four brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by four daughters, Laural Revels Warzynski (Tim), Amy Revels Davis (Andy), Heather Strickland Geldbach (Erik), and Valerie Strickland; three sisters, Gloria Barkley, Phyllis Heath, and Amber Kelly; five grandchildren, Matthew Hoopengarner, Kaitlyn Stilley, Gavin and Heidi Geldbach, and Tracy Warzynski; and five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home (weather permitting).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the GBS CIDP Foundation International, 375 East Elm Street, Suite 101, Conshohocken, PA 19428 or online at https://www.gbs-cidp.org/.

So sorry to hear the news of dear Wendy.
I didn't know her well, but remember her
as friendly, caring, and with a soft smile. She was a church friend for years at Temple Baptist.
