Sarah Ziminsky
1938 - 2021

NEWBERRY — Sarah Ziminsky, 83, of Newberry, S.C., entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 in Lexington, S.C.

Memorial services will be held at noon on Saturday, October, 16, 2021, at Mayer Memorial Lutheran Church, 1307 Drayton Street, Newberry, S.C. with Pastor Rawls officiating.

Sarah was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, to Seymour and Antoinette Stucker on July 4, 1938. She married Joseph Ziminsky Jr. in Luzerne, Pennsylvania. Sarah worked as a sample maker for Leslie Fay for 10 years. She was also a beloved waitress at Superior and Silver Star Diner in Pennsylvania until she retired. Sarah was also an active member of Mayer Memorial Lutheran Church for over 20 years where she was a beloved member of the Golden Ager's Club.

Sarah is preceded in death by Seymour and Antoinette Stucker (parents); Joseph Ziminsky Jr (husband); Joseph Wayne Ziminsky III (son); Linda Ziminsky (daughter-in-law); Seymour (Arlene) Stucker Jr (brother) and Louis (Lorraine) Stucker (brother).

Sarah is survived by her children Joyce (Larry Sr.) Sligh of Irmo, S.C.; Michael (Sherrie) Ziminsky, of Nuangola, Pa.; Beatrice Ziminsky, of Newberry, S.C.; Mark (Tina) Ziminsky, of Newberry, S.C.; Siblings Gay Stucker, of Florida; William (Angie) Stucker, of White Haven, Pa.; Theresa (Donald) Moser, of Belmont, N.Y.; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other sorrowing family and friends, and her beloved dog, Lucky.

The family of Sarah Ziminsky wishes to extend our sincerest thanks and gratitude to the staff at Newberry County Memorial Hospital, Prisma Health Heart Hospital and Lexington Medical Center for their care and hospitality.
