Catherine Palmisano

1930 - 2022

Catherine (Taylor) Palmisano, of Bristol, widow of Peter P. Palmisano, died on Monday, (April 18, 2022) at Ingraham Manor. 
Catherine was born in Yonkers, NY on Feb. 12, 1930, and was one of three daughters of the late Joseph and Ida (Buffalo) Taylor. 
She was a longtime New Britain resident where she settled to raise her family after meeting her husband at Lake Compounce. 
She was a Red Sox fan, and enjoyed playing cards with her sister and friends.  She also loved taking care of children throughout the years, especially her grandchildren. 
A resident of Bristol since 1989, she was a parishioner of St. Matthew Church, Forestville. 
Catherine is survived by three children: Tina Minella, Roseann Palmisano, and Peter Palmisano, Jr. and wife Betsy, all of Bristol; a sister: Ada Zoccoli of Bristol; seven grandchildren: Michael, Ashley, Joseph, Jr., and Anthony Palmisano, Jacob Carucci, Jesse and Elijah Minella; three great-grandchildren: Xavier, Michael, Jr., and Stella Palmisano; a brother-in-law: Dominick Palmisano of New Britain; and several nieces and nephews. 
She was predeceased by a son: Joseph Palmisano, Sr. and a sister: Barbara Unghire. 
Funeral services will be held on Friday, (April 22, 2022) at 12 Noon from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m.  
Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.  Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home on Thursday between 4 and 7 p.m.
