Dale Deschaines, 67, of Bristol passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on December 3, 1957 in Southington, son of the late Lawrence and Theresa (Paradis) Deschaines. Dale was the loving husband of Alice "Bobbie" (Provenzano) Deschaines for 40 years. Dale was a skilled Tradesman. He started his career working for Midstate Concrete and CT Steel Erectors and moved forward to becoming a Highly Skilled Carpenter, employed by A&A Drywall and Acoustics. He spent the bulk of his working life as a member of Local Union 24 Carpenters Union. He was also a small business owner and completed his career working for his good friend, Ralph Carbone. Dale was generous with his time and talents. He was always happy to help family and friends with their projects. Besides his wife, Bobbie, Dale is survived by his son Joshua Deschaines and his fiance Meagan Doyle of AK; sisters Lory Mankus and her husband Gary of Bristol, Rita Dunnegan of TX; brothers Marty Wozniak and his wife Patty, Gene Logan and his wife Cindy; sisters-in-law Laura (Vet) Mason, Mary (Michael) Finello, Carole (Wayne) Hatfield, Helene (Kevin) Murphy, Giovanna (Charlie) Wrisley, Jessica (Jason) Dumont, Veronica (Rodrigo) Gomez; brothers-in-law Frank (Sally) Provenzano, Daniel Provenzano (Margaret Kolb), Chuck (Susan) Provenzano, John (Dorothy) Provenzano, Thomas Provenzano, Paul (Maryann) Provenzano, Jerome Provenzano (Mindy) and many beloved nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Dale is predeceased by his son, Daniel Deschaines, and his father and mother-in-law, Vincent and Alice Provenzano. We would like to express our appreciation for all the love and support of family and friends over the years as Dale valiantly and relentlessly battled cancer. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol/Forestville starting at 9:00 a.m. with Words of Remembrance at 10:30 a.m., followed by a procession to St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
