Diana Regan Obituary
Diana M. Regan, 52, of Bristol, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, November 12, 2023. She was born on November 15, 1970, in Bogota, Colombia, daughter of the late Jos and Dora (Vega) Sarmiento.
Diana was beautiful, incredibly strong, and had a generous heart. Her kindness shone brightly upon human beings and animals in equal measure. Her amazing sense of humor filled the 24 years of marriage to her devoted husband, Timothy Regan with Love and laughter. Diana cherished her children, Patrick and Danielle above all else.
She earned a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in Colombia before coming to America, where she learned English, became a proud US citizen, and earned her nursing degree. She was universally admired by her patients and co-workers as a compassionate health care professional. Diana was also a talented cook, and accomplished gardener. Neighbors regularly stopped by to compliment her as she tended to her lovely Dahlias, while her cat Stella rolled in the grass nearby.
Diana will be missed by her loving family, loyal friends, and coworkers, who are grateful for the time God gave us with her. She will live on in our hearts and be ever remembered for the Light she brought to our lives.
Besides her husband and children, Diana is survived by sister, Sandra Ulicki and her husband, Paul of Beacon Falls; brothers, Nelson Sarmiemto of Colombia, Martin Sarmiemto of Germany, and her beloved nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave. Bristol. From 8:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. A procession will leave for St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave. Bristol for an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial.

Diana was such a special person. I loved working with her in our Windsor and West Hartford office before I went to veterinary school. She taught me a few things. She was always so kind and genuine and her smile was contagious. Prayers for peace and comfort to her family during this difficult time.
