Henri Dumas Obituary
Henri P. Dumas, 94, of Bristol, beloved husband of Elizabeth (Baillargeon) Dumas, died on Sunday (November 2, 2025) at Bristol
Hospital. Henri was born on March 15, 1931, in St. Ludger, Quebec, Canada and was one of 12 children of the late Albert and Alice (Gilbert)
Dumas. He was raised and attended school in Canada before immigrating to the United States and settling in Bristol in 1955. Henri worked as a foreman for Putnam Tennis Court for 38 years before his retirement. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Parish devoted to St. Ann Church, Bristol. He took great joy in playing cards with
friends and family, spending time with the grandchildren, and watching his favorite sport, hockey. In addition to his loving wife of 59 years, Henri is survived by two children: Kathryn Lee and husband, George of Athens, TN; and Michael Dumas and wife, Tammy of Bristol; three
grandchildren: Adam Clairmont, Mackenzie and Madison Dumas; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his 11 siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday (November 8, 2025) at 11 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 215 West St., Bristol. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol on Saturday between 9 and 10:30 a.m. prior to the Mass.
