Iris Luciano Obituary

Iris M. Luciano, 53, of New Britain, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020 at the Hospital of Central Conn. in New Britain. She was the widow of David Luciano.
Born in Puerto Rico, she was a New Britain resident for over 40 years. Iris was a member of St. Joachim Parish, St. Mary Church. She was a kind hearted, friendly human being. She would light up a room when she entered. She loved spending time with family and friends and sightseeing.
Surviving are a daughter, Carmen Luciano; a son, Jaden Hernandez; her mother, Elba Iris Torres; her father, Sergio Alfredo Delgado; her siblings, Delvis Delgado, Alfredo Delgado, Mariel Delgado, Sergio Delgado Jr., Ana Torres, and many others she considered her brothers and sisters. Also surviving are her Godchildren and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Marical Torres Sr., brother, Marcial "Coqui" Torres Jr., and sister Wanda Pabon.
Walk thru calling hours will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joachim Parish, St. Mary Church. Burial will be in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield.
