Mary Klimkiewicz Obituary
Mary Elizabeth (Roberts) Klimkiewicz, 80, an incredible loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on September 10, 2024. She leaves behind her beloved husband, William J. Klimkiewicz, whom she married 55 years ago.
Together Mary and Bill raised 2 daughters, always providing wisdom and love in abundance. Mary will be forever missed by daughters Dawn Klimkiewicz of Farmington, CT and Donna Fetzner of Rochester, NY; their husbands Timothy Haviland and Matthew Fetzner; and cherished grandchildren, who were the joy of her life, Vanden and Zeeva Haviland, and Jamie and Calan Fetzner.
A lifelong resident of Bristol, she was born on Oct. 23, 1943, to the late Mary (Gladis) Roberts and Frederick Roberts. Raised with humble means but an abundance of love, Mary was the youngest of six children, remaining close to her siblings and their families throughout her life. She is survived by brothers James Roberts of Bristol and William Roberts and sister-in-law Doris (Duncan) Roberts of Fairfield. She is predeceased by brother Stephen and his wife Mary (Martinelli) Roberts, beloved sister Gladys and husband Panfilo Pat Berardinelli, sister-in-law Barbara (Carlson), and brother Frederick and his wife Judith (Reilly) Roberts.
Mary is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews and their spouses, a godchild, and many dear friends.
Calling Hours will be held at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Avenue in Bristol, CT on September 14, 2024 between 9 and 11 a.m.. A graveside service will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. A reception to celebrate Mary's life will follow for family and friends.
