BURLINGTON

Thomas Francis Trudel February 1951 - July 2024 Thomas Francis Trudel, husband of Deborah C. Trudel (Pilon) of Burlington CT, passed unexpectedly on July 31, 2024, at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. Thomas, also known as Tom & Tommy to his family & friends & as Tut, a family nickname growing up, was the father of 5 loving children. Together with their spouses & children, Tom leaves behind, his wife Debi, sons, Russ Thomas Trudel & wife Janet of Torrington CT & their two children C.J. & Amanda; Eric Edward Trudel & wife Crystal of Plymouth CT, their two children, Kayla & Brandon & two great grandchildren, Sophie & Mia; Marc Joseph Trudel & wife Megan of Terryville CT & their two children, Logan & Darin; & daughters, Tami Cheryl Dew & husband Jeffrey of Williamsburg VA; & Cari Eldina Mendez & husband Jason of Torrington CT & their two children, Kaleb & Karolina.

Tom was predeceased by his mother Isabelle, father Emile & sister Angela. Tom was a graduate of Bristol Central High School where he was known for athleticism in football, wrestling, & track & field. He grew up on Federal Hill on Goodwin St, with his siblings Stephen, David, Robert, Lynn, Michael, & James. He attended Saint Joseph School as a child & was an altar boy at St. Joseph's Church.

Tom was known for his amazing mechanical skills, was a jack of all trades & was always willing to lend a hand to whomever asked. With everything from working on cars, putting an addition on a house, to wiring, plumbing issues & repairs. Tom worked as a four-slide setup & spring maker for his entire career & retired from Wallace Barnes Associated Spring.

Tom was also an avid outdoorsman & loved hunting, fishing & camping. He always looked forward to camping getaways with the family at Bantam Lake & in Maine.

Tom loved his children, grandchildren & great grandchildren dearly as well as all his siblings, their spouses & his nieces & nephews.

Tom was known for his sparkling eyes, kind smile & warm heart. He will be dearly missed & always cherished & remembered by all he knew.

The family will be having a private celebration of life. His burial will be with his beloved wife at the time of her passing, at Center Cemetery in Burlington CT. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Deb and family - It was great to talk to you and we want you all to know we were very saddened to learn of Tom´s passing. He was a wonderful person and a truly nice guy. Know that others love you, care about you and are thinking of you and your family. Keep all the happy memories close to your heart and reflect on them often.
