Claudyne Terrell, 82, of Cape May Courthouse, passed away April 21, 2021.
Born in Auburn, AL, Claudyne moved to Wildwood, NJ in the 1960s. She moved to New Milford, CT in 1968 and was the loving caregiver for the Flayderman family for over 16 years. In 1986, Claudyne moved back to NJ and settled in Cape May Courthouse. A true angel on earth, her passion in life was taking care of others. She can best be described as kind hearted and caring with an infectious laugh.
Claudyne is survived by her son, John Flayderman; her grandchildren, Samantha and Benjamin Flayderman; her nephew, Larry Lockhart; and her niece, Lois Lockhart. She was predeceased by her siblings and her longtime companion, Mitchell Smith.
Visiting hours will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A funeral service will conclude the visitation at 7:45 p.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Claudyne's memory to the American Cancer Society
would be greatly appreciated by her family.
