Colleen P Sweeney Colleen P. Sweeney of Seminole, Florida daughter of the late James and Mary Sweeney of Bethel CT, passed away June 16, 2021 after a brief but courageous battle with MDS. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her brother Thomas and wife Ruth Sweeney of New Milford, CT and sister Karen and husband John Marasco of Bethel, CT and several nieces, nephews and cousins and her feline companion Bubbles, as well as friends and co-workers. Colleen was predeceased by her brothers Peter and Michael Sweeney and niece Julia Sweeney-Hayes. She attended Immaculate High School in Danbury, CT then later moved to Largo, Florida where she was the primary caregiver to her parents while working at Burlington Coat Factory. Later she worked at TJ Maxx where she retired from. Colleen's nieces, Patti McGowan and Laura Oxford were with her during her final days with the assistance of the Sun Coast Hospice Purple Team, who made her as comfortable as possible and allowed her to pass with dignity and grace. Colleen will be laid to rest at Serenity Gardens in Florida alongside our mother and father.
