Patsy Atkins Obituary
Patsy Atkins, age 72, passed on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.B. Atkins; parents, George and Ada Baker; daughter, Melissa Freeman; and sister, Shirley Locke.
She is survived by her sons, Doug (Heather) Atkins of Newport, Scott (Lisa) Atkins of Newport; daughter, Stacy (Eric) Freeman of Newport; grandchildren, Justin (Dawn) Freeman, Megan (Michael) Shelton, Dustin (Katie) Gregg, Chase Gregg; great-grandchildren, Annistyn Shelton, Konnor Gregg, Kaison Gregg; brother, David Baker of NC; sisters, Mary Allison of NC, and Martha (Roger) Buckner of Newport; along with several other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family will receive friends 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Manes Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Robert Williamson and Rev. Ricky Dennis officiating. Interment will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2023 in New Home Cemetery.
