Tois David Seay

Tois David Seay, age 83, of Newport, passed away Monday, June 27, 2022.

He was founder and Pastor of the Church of God at Douglas Lake, White Pine, TN and a veteran having served in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Creed and Minnie Seay, brothers, Ois Seay and Moas Seay, and sister, Joyce Robbins.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Dianne Seay, of Newport, son, David Seay of Del Rio, daughter, Shannon Thomas of Jefferson City, brother, Edgar Seay of Del Rio, sisters, Mary Ruth Shulaw of Ohio, Rosie Seay of Ohio, Lois Willis of Florida, and Iris Queener of Spring Hill, TN, foster children, Linda Swatzell of Mosheim, Ronald Moore of Morristown, grandsons, Cory Seay and Zach Seay of Newport, great-grandchildren, Kourtnie Seay and Kory Seay of Newport, several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family would like to say special thank you to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice for their love and support during this difficult time.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Manes Funeral Home.

The body will lie in state from 11 a.m. to noon at the Church of God prior to the funeral service.

Funeral service will be held 12 p.m., Friday, July 1, 2022 at the Church of God at Douglas Lake, with Marty Simpson and Roger Nethers officiating.

Burial will follow in Union Cemetery.
