Mary Bric Obituary
Newport, RI – Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Bric, 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Newport Hospital following a brief illness. She was the daughter of Edward F. McManus and Mary E. (Rosa) McManus Hinds.
Mrs. Bric was predeceased by her husband, William H. Bric, and eldest daughter, Mary Ellen Silvia Hetland, as well as her brothers, Edward F. McManus and Robert F. McManus and half-brother Alan Hinds. She leaves behind her son, Maurice E. Bric and his wife, Madeline E. "Betsy" (Silvia) Bric of Newport along with their children William H. Bric VI of Lewisville, Texas, and Erin E. Bric of Milford, Michigan.
She is also survived by daughters Cynthia A. Bric-Malvey of Middletown and Christine M. (Bric) Adinolfi of Westminster, Maryland along with her husband Gregory Adinolfi and their daughter, Isabella C. Adinolfi. Mrs. Bric is further survived by half-sister Carol (Hinds) Nugent of Providence and Heather C. (Silvia) Gately and numerous nieces and nephews.
Per Betty's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustin's Church, Carroll Avenue, Newport. Burial will follow at St. Columba Cemetery, 465 Brown's Lane, Middletown.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's memory may be made to the Potter League for Animals, P.O. Box 412, Newport, RI 02840, www.potterleague.org/donate ; or Boys Town, 300 Flanagan Blvd, P.O. Box 7000, Boys Town, NE 68010-9907.
