John J. Daigneault
1966 - 2021
John J. Daigneault, 55 of Wolfboro, NH, formerly
of Derby Line, VT, passed away on Saturday September
25, 2021 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Portsmouth,
John was born on June 30, 1966 in Newport, VT,
the son of George Daigneault and Henriette (Poulin)
John graduated from North Country Union High
School in 1984, and earned a Bachelor's Degree in
Accounting from Plymouth State College in 1988.
Immediately after graduating from college, John
joined the accounting firm Leone, McDonell and
Roberts in Wolfboro, NH. He soon became a Certified
Public Accountant. He became a Partner and Vice
President in 2000. John had a very successful 35-year
career at the firm.
John was an avid sports fan, especially hockey. He
often took the opportunity to reminded Boston Bruins
fans that the Montreal Canadiens have won more Stanley
Cup Championships. John was an active member of his
community. He officiated youth hockey and coached
softball at Kingswood Regional High School. Most
recently, John served on the Board of Directors for
Huggins Hospital in Wolfboro, NH. John and his wife,
Connie, had a soft spot for rescuing pets. He was well
known for his quick wit and sense of humor. John will
also be remembered for his generosity to his friends and
John is survived by his wife Connie (Duchesne)
Daigneault; children Peter John (PJ) Maratos and his
wife Iesha Maratos; Christina Greenlaw and her husband
Josh Greenlaw; and his grandchild Lilly Greenlaw.
His mother Henriette (Poulin) Daigneault; brother's
David Daigneault; Marc Daigneault and wife Norma.
His niece and nephews: Michael Daigneault and wife
Jessica, Matthew Daigneault, Alex Daigneault, Austin
Daigneault, Grace Daigneault, and Beau Daigneault.
John came from a very large extended family with
many Aunts, Uncles and cousins residing throughout the
Northeast U.S. and Quebec, Canada.
John was predeceased by his father George Daigneault.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday October
10, 2021 at The Inn on Main, 200 North Main Street,
Wolfboro, NH at 1:00 pm.
Graveside services will be held in Derby Line, VT at
a later date.
Donations in John's memory may be made to your
local Humane Society.
