SAVOY - Carole A. Hunter, 96, of Savoy died at 11:20 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 27, 2025) at Autumn Fields, Savoy. Funeral arrangements were incomplete at Evergreen Cremation Services, 314 Tiffany Court, Champaign.

I had the privilege of traveling with Carole Ann and my Aunt Judy to the Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky-what a treasured memory! Three generations of women, sharing stories, laughing, and learning from one another. During that trip, I was honored to truly get to know each of these women. Carole Ann´s stories taught me what strength and unconditional love look like. The greatest life lesson she shared was that life is not perfect, but we can face difficult times with courage and perseverance. She is, to me, a symbol of greatness and strength.

I was so fortunate to get to know Carole Ann through two dear friends, and was included in quite a few of the birthday luncheons she hosted. I was always so impressed with her handiwork and attention to details at those events that I would come home and share them with my husband! She was a lovely person inside and out, and I will always be thankful that I got the opportunity to spend time with her.
