Tolono - Colton Edward Deedrich, 5, passed away on Dec. 23, 2025, surrounded by family. Colton was born on June 7, 2020, in Urbana.
In his short time on Earth, Colton made an impact on so many people. He was fearless, funny, smart, outgoing, and a friend to everyone.
Colton loved playing outside, playing basketball, school with his friends, scaring his dad, working outside on projects, snuggles with his mom, Illini sports (mostly basketball), and doing everything with his big brother, who he always wanted to be like.
Colton didn't know a stranger and wanted to be friends with everyone. He was the best hugger and freely shared his hugs with anyone and everyone. He always wanted to help, share his toys, and make things for others.
He will be deeply missed by his parents, Andrew and Erica Deedrich, and his big brother, Hudson. He is survived by grandparents Stan (Julie) Ochs, Lorri Ochs, and Debbie (Mike) Deedrich; aunts Monica (Brad) and Kate (Robert); uncle Neil; and cousins Hannah (Zak) and Emery.
Colton was the most selfless person and would do anything to make people smile or laugh. Colton's final act of kindness came as he left this Earth and gave life to four people, including a toddler, with the donation of his organs.
Colton was a devoted Illini fan. Please wear Illini attire to his visitation and support the Illini as they play Tennessee in the Music City Bowl during his visitation.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Morgan Memorial Home, 1304 Regency Drive West, Savoy.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bailey Memorial Cemetery, Tolono.
Donations in honor of Colton can be made to Riley Children's Hospital at www.rileykids.org and select "Tribute Gift".
Condolences may be offered at www.morganmemorialhome.com.
