Faye Miner Obituary
MONTICELLO - Wilma Faye Miner, 86, of Monticello passed away at 11:07 p.m. Wednesday (July 2, 2025) at Arbor Rose of Monticello.
Faye was born on April 14, 1939, in Buffalo, Ill. She was the daughter of Virgil and Vickie (Carr) Houser. She married John R. "Jack" Miner on Feb. 24, 1957, in LaFayette, Ga. He passed away on Oct. 9, 2021.
Faye is survived by her children, Lorie (Blair) Brown of White Heath, Brenda Brown of Monticello, Dennis Miner of Monticello and Dan (Mindy) Miner of Champaign; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Nancy (Dan) Davis of Urbana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter-in-law, Justine Miner.
Faye worked alongside her husband on the farm while raising their family. Faye didn't know a stranger and enjoyed being outside, tending to her flower garden, and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. at Monticello Township Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Arbor Rose of Monticello. Condolences may be sent to the family at mackey-wrightfuneralhome.com.
