Gary Jellen Obituary
MAHOMET - Gary Jellen of Mahomet passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
He was born in Highland on Oct. 3, 1949.
He is survived by his wife, Annalee Rayburn; siblings, John (Deb) Jellen Jr., Cheryl (Willard) Spencer, Barry (Leslie) Jellen, Gloria Urban, Darren (Connie) Jellen and Elisa Jellen; and children, Christopher Jellen and Holly (Dylan) Adair.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, John Jellen Sr. and Gloria Smith.
Gary served for six years in the Navy, where he learned to be an electronic technician. After the Navy, he earned a bachelor of fine arts degree in photography at SIUE. He spent most of his life repairing broken machines. He had a love of radios and enjoyed collecting and repairing them.
There will be a celebration of his life to be announced at a later date.
