Lawrence Nicholson Obituary
CHAMPAIGN - Lawrence Nicholson Sr., 83, of Champaign, formerly of Manhattan, Kan., died Aug. 13, 2024, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Walker Funeral Service and Chapel, 704 N. Fourth St., Champaign, with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. Pastor Gladys Bellamy will officiate.

I remember Larry as the first person I met when I joined Manhattan Civic Theater back in the 80's, we quickly became theater friends. That friendship went past the theater as time went by. He was so supportive and such a great laugh. Unfortunately, I moved out of town and we didn't see much of each other for a long time, but he always had a handshake or big when we did run into each other. Manhattan has suffered a loss!
